Q:
What types of documents does Write Science Right edit?
A:
Write Science Right will edit all
forms of technical scientific writing including original
research papers, review articles, letters, brochures,
poster presentations & slide presentations (in PowerPoint), theses, dissertations, forms & instruction
sheets for international grant agencies. If you have
another type of document not included here that you
would like to submit for editing service, submit query
to
info@writescienceright.com.
Q:
How
long will it take for my scientific editing order to be
completed?
A:
Editing service orders typically take 4 to 6 business
days. This allows enough time for your editor to
carefully read your document several times before,
during and after recommending changes. This is to ensure
your document is not only correctly written but also
that it reads clearly and eloquently.
Q:
Can
RUSH orders for scientific editing be made?
A:
Yes,
for a 20% premium on your editing service cost, you may
request a RUSH order. RUSH orders will be completed
within 3 days (including weekends). Write Science Right
does not do orders in less than 48 hrs because it would
not allow your scientific editor to give your manuscript
enough fresh reads to ensure our high standard of
quality.
Q:
In
what form should documents for editing be submitted?
A:
You
can submit your document(s) for editing to Write Science
Right quickly and easily via the express order page in this web site. Provide
all requested contact and institutional information in the email and attach documents
(manuscript and figures) to the email. Similarly, you may submit
documents as email attachment with an email directly to
info@writescienceright.com.
If for any reason you are not able to submit your order
electronically, you can send an electronic file of
your documents on CD, diskette or zip drive via mail.
Our mailing address is on the contact page. The
preferred document form is Microsoft WordŽ.
Q:
Should figures also be sent with document?
A:
Please send accompanying figures along with your
document to help your editor better understand the ideas
that you want to communicate. Preferably, send
figures as PowerPoint files (separately or as
multiple pages in a single PowerPoint file).
Q:
Are
documents submitted for scientific editing kept
confidential?
A:
Absolutely. Only your editor will read your documents.
Your documents and all correspondence with Write Science
Right will remain private. Write Science Right keeps
track of all clients and their assigned scientific
editors, so that you will work with the same editor
every time you submit a document for editing. Write
Science Right does not give away or sell any information
about our clients to any third party sources. Please
read our privacy statement for more information about
confidentiality issues.
Q:
Does
Write Science Right provide editorial services for
native English speakers who struggle with writing?
A:
Yes.
Native English speaking clients pay the same page or
hourly rate, depending on how much work the document
editing requires. The basic page rate usually applies in
these cases.
Q:
How
is Write Science Right different than most competitors?
A:
All
editors are working scientists who have earned
doctorates from prestigious universities and who have
extensive experience reading, writing and publishing
scientific articles. We do not contract work with editors
that have not demonstrated success publishing
scientific articles.
There
are no hidden administration fees added to the cost of
your scientific editing service order which you can be
surprised by with other editing services.
The
greatest benefit of working with Write Science Right
is
the
exceptionally high standard of quality which this service
maintains. Your Write Science Right editor will not simply
go through and provide "English patches". Rather, your
editor will further recommend changes that improve the
overall quality and readability of your documents.
A
good understanding of the science is the foundation of
all of our editorial advice.
If
you are submitting to a journal with stringent size
limits which you are having trouble meeting, you can
request that your editor further recommends revisions to
make your presentation as brief and concise as possible
without losing any content. Of course this will take
more editing hours, but can greatly enhance the
presentation of your findings. |
